InterviewInterview with Alessandra Cefaliello

Alessandra Cefaliello: growing through chamber music

From her first encounter with the cello to the quartet: an interview about study, teachers, chamber music and artistic identity.

“Chamber music has always been my greatest passion: sharing music with others makes every experience more complete.”

Alessandra Cefaliello recalls discovering the cello as a child and the family environment that supported her musical education. The interview follows the decisive encounters with her teachers and the gradual formation of her own relationship with the instrument.

Chamber music emerges as the thread connecting the different stages of that path. Playing with others is described not as an addition to solo study, but as the place where listening, responsibility and musical personality become fully visible.

The conversation then reaches Quartetto Guadagnini and the daily work of building a common language, before returning to the cello itself and to the continuing dialogue between performer, sound and instrument.
